4-H Dog Project

2025 Dog Project Meeting Times and Information
A Meet & Greet will be held Sunday, May 18th between 4-6 p.m. at the Extension Building parking lot (925 Donald Street, Medford). If you would like to bring your dog(s), leashes, potty baggies, and proof of vaccination. Depending on weather, we will hike the trail, learn a trick to train your dog, and end with a tailgate potluck.
Initial training sessions begin: Wednesday, May 21st & 28th from 6-7 p.m. at Renzoni’s training building (N5991 Settlement Drive, Medford). Bring proof of vaccinations, treats, something to hold the treats (fanny pack), dog, leash, potty baggies. These lessons will start with fundamental, confidence building activities for your dog and you. These sessions are optional, but you and your dog need the training time in order to be successful at the Fair. Doing the least amounts results in the least amount of success. Taylor County 4-H Dog Project requires attendance of 6 sessions with the dog/handler intending to show the dog at the Fair.
Training Sessions at the Fairgrounds Swine/Sheep building at 5:45 p.m. start on June 4th and end on July 16th (Wednesday evenings.). Help with equipment set up and take down is always welcomed and part of the dog project.

Schedule: Dog judging for the Taylor County Fair is Sunday, July 20, 2025 at 10:00 a.m..
